AKC Breed Descriptions of the Golden Retriever, Bernese Mountain Dogs and all three AKC Poodle varieties Toy, Miniature and Standard.

 

 

 We would like to share the breed descriptions of each breed we use to create our wonderful Goldendoodles & Bernedoodles.

Goldendoodles are a cross between Golden Retrievers to Poodles and Bernedoodles are a cross between the Bernese Mountain Dog to Poodles. We have purposely incorporated both the American Golden Retriever and the English Cream Golden Retriever lines into our Goldendoodles and as well European and American bred Bernese Mountain Dogs into our Bernedoodle lines. The reason for doing so is to keep our lines as diverse as possibly. Our poodles are of all 3 AKC Poodles varieties Toy, Miniature and Standard. Our Poodles are mostly from American, Russian and German bred Poodle lines.  

We feel it's important for you to know each breeds characteristics to help you to decide if a Goldendoodle, Bernedoodle or Poodle is for you and your family. Keep in mind while reading the breed descriptions that you should be happy with the characteristics of both breeds. Most puppies are a blend of the two purebreds characteristics, though some puppies can favor one breed more than the other including personality, structure and coat types.
